Psychological Therapy

Vibrance Psychology provides psychological therapy, with the aim to help clients develop, grow and ultimately achieve their goals.

The process of recovery is personal and it is a privilege to be part of that journey. Psychological support is offered for a range of presenting problems including anxiety, depression, eating difficulties, panic, trauma, psychosis and personality difficulties. In addition, individual psychological assessments are available for a range of purposes. All services are provided by a qualified Clinical Psychologist who is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). There is the opportunity to engage in a range of psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and Compassion Based Therapies with a Clinical Psychologist, who has extensive experience of working with a range of psychological problems. Self-referrals and referrals from health care professionals and solicitors are welcomed.

Expert Witness Services

A range of expert witness services including reports for family and criminal cases are offered.

Vibrance Psychology is proficient at conducting psychological assessments for parents in relation to the family courts and psychological assessments and risk assessments for criminal cases in the context of Parole Boards and Mental Health Review Tribunals (MHRTs). Furthermore, reports for medico-legal cases focusing on a range of issues from road traffic accidents to traumatic life events are also offered. Referrals are considered from individuals, medico-legal agencies, local authorities and solicitors.

Dr Sarah Angela Kriakous is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), full member of the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

With many years of experience, Dr Kriakous currently works as a Lead Psychologist in a locked psychiatric rehabilitation hospital which specialises in working with adult males and females with complex mental health needs, personality difficulties, behaviours that challenge and forensic histories. Dr Kriakous has worked creating care pathways and planning processes for clients as well as undertaking psychological assessments including neuropsychological assessments and psychological formulations in order to assist in future interventions.

Dr Kriakous is also knowledgeable in treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness and Compassion Based Therapies. Dr Kriakous is also an Accredited Advanced Schema Therapist. As well as being trained in multiple personality assessments such as International Personality Disorder Examination (IPDE) and Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R). Dr Kriakous is also a keen researcher and has presented her work at various conferences as well as researching for publication. Areas of interest for Dr Kriakous lie in working with clients with complex trauma and forensic mental health presentations as well as helping clients to develop a better quality of life and achieving personal goals. Dr Kriakous also enjoys helping in the development of other staff members, so they can attain their full potential. With many years’ experience in various settings Dr Kriakous has the clinical skills and expertise required for undertaking expert witness reports.
